Literally Examining the Definition of Success (with the Help of FranNet)

Ask the next three people that you see, “What is Success?”  You will probably end up with three completely different answers.  It’s a hard thing to define, so let’s turn to Dictionary.com.

Let’s go step by step.

1.  Favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors. The accomplishment of one’s goals.
How do you know if you are successful if you don’t know your goals.  If you have ever thought about starting a business,  this is one way that FranNet can help you.  We use a proprietary Personal Franchise Assessment tool to help get to know you, your strengths and your preferences better… and then meet with you face-to-face to further examine what your goals truly are.  Let’s figure out where you want to go before we talk about how to get there.

2.  The attainment of wealth, position, honors of the like
So, after step 1, you know where you are going.  In Step 2, you have to figure out how to get there.   I’m here to get you going in the right direction.  We will talk about potential franchises that fit with your goals.  Is there a particular role that you love?  Do you want to make an investment, yet only put in minimal hours per week?  I can help match you up with the companies that structurally fit your Model of Success.  I can also connect you with finance and other business professionals that you may need in your journey toward becoming a franchise business owner.  Finally, I will give you a true and honest assessment as to whether I think that business ownership is right for you.  No one can guarantee that you will be a success, however gaining a thorough understanding of what it take to be successful in a particular franchise is an important element of increasing your likelihood of success.

3.  A performance or achievement that is marked by success, as by the attainment of honors.
After getting pointed in the right direction, time to start heading down the path. I am here to coach you through the process of selecting and buying the franchise.  I’ll be advising you of questions to ask and specific things to look for, and reminding you to consider your goals that we talked about in step one.

Here are three entrepreneurs that were once in your shoes … read their success stories.  Can you picture their success?  Do you want that success?

And, I invite you to attend one of my events or webinars listed to the right.  These FREE events are here to help educate, inform, and start you on the path to success.

You can also contact me at 313-821-5060 or mcory@frannet.com with any questions you have as well!

It’s hard to be successful all by yourself.  That is why FranNet is here!  We’re your coach on the road to success.

Finding the Right Business for Baby Boomers

Thursday, May 29  |   2:00 - 3:30 p.m.
Online Seminar - NO CHARGE

FranNet sees the promise of entrepreneurial
older Americans and seeks to ensure every opportunity
to pursue business ownership is explored.

Americans are growing older, living healthier and living longer. And older Americans are capitalizing on business like no other generation. A recent study by the Kaufman Foundation found that in every single year from 1996 to 2007, more Americans between the ages of 55 and 64 started a new business venture than those aged 20-34. This is a trend that only looks to increase as long-term employment has fallen dramatically for people ages 35-64 over the past fifty years.
And according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, life expectancy increases about one month every year. As the American population ages, more and more older adults are looking toward self-employment business opportunities in which to invest and create long-term, sustainable assets. FranNet seeks to aid older adults who are looking for their next career or investment opportunity.
During the webinar, we’ll cover:
·       The advantages to start a business.
·       Impact of small business in the U.S.
·       A look at franchise ownership.
·       Misconceptions about franchising.
·       Building your personal business model.
·       How to easily find the right franchise

Reservations for this No Fee Webinar can be made at http://www.michiganfranchiseforum.com/
or 313-821-5060 or mcory@frannet.com

Franchises Are Creating Jobs - What Industries Are In The Top Five in Job Creation?

ADP’s March 2014 National Franchise Report has been recently released to the public.  According to its data, national employment added 220,000 jobs in March.  Franchises are responsible for 30,830 (just over 14%) of those jobs.

According to ADP’s historical data (dating back three years), franchise job growth has only seen a loss in one month in the past 36 (January 2012).

The biggest adders to the payrolls were the restaurant industry and the auto & auto repair industry.  Restaurants added 13,900 jobs (compared to only 600 in February 2014).  Auto & auto repair tend to seasonally add jobs this time of year, coming off of harsh winters.  In March 2014, the industry added 8,500 jobs.

Rounding out the Top 5 industries (in franchise job growth) were Accommodations (1,990), Business Services (1,450), and Food Retailers (590).

As you can see, there are a variety of different franchises out there.  One of the most important things to know when you are debating about starting a business is your industry trends.  This comes with doing your research.

Want to get started finding out more about franchising?  Take a look at my seminars and webinars listed on the right.  These events are FREE, as well as all of my services or consultations.  You can also contact me with any questions at 313-821-5060 or mcory@frannet.com.
