Finding the Right Business for Baby Boomers

Thursday, May 29  |   2:00 - 3:30 p.m.
Online Seminar - NO CHARGE

FranNet sees the promise of entrepreneurial
older Americans and seeks to ensure every opportunity
to pursue business ownership is explored.

Americans are growing older, living healthier and living longer. And older Americans are capitalizing on business like no other generation. A recent study by the Kaufman Foundation found that in every single year from 1996 to 2007, more Americans between the ages of 55 and 64 started a new business venture than those aged 20-34. This is a trend that only looks to increase as long-term employment has fallen dramatically for people ages 35-64 over the past fifty years.
And according to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, life expectancy increases about one month every year. As the American population ages, more and more older adults are looking toward self-employment business opportunities in which to invest and create long-term, sustainable assets. FranNet seeks to aid older adults who are looking for their next career or investment opportunity.
